Project Description

As part of a consultancy project, the glass roof of the Sky Garden on the top three floors of the 20 Fenchurch Street building in London was inspected.

The client commissioned a detailed analysis due to existing water infiltration in the roof structure.

The aim of the investigation was to identify possible causes and to assess the performance of the existing façade and roof details.

Analysis & Approach

The investigation was based on a detailed desk study of the relevant structural details and the known construction conditions.

In addition, a site visit was carried out to inspect the existing construction on site and to assess the actual performance of the structure.
