The design of fa\u00e7ades often breaks down at the interface between architecture and structural engineering.<\/p>

I completed my architectural training in Spain, within a traditional system where architecture was still closely linked to engineering \u2013 at the time, the qualification was known as a \u2018graduate engineer in architecture\u2019. From an early age, I felt drawn to the technical side of design and naturally gravitated towards the intersection between the two disciplines.<\/p>

Over time, it became clear to me that it is precisely this boundary \u2013 which is not clearly defined and is often overlooked \u2013 that is the point at which many projects come to a standstill.<\/p>

Architects develop strong concepts and compelling ideas, yet these cannot always be translated into built reality with the same clarity. The final construction details, the choice of materials, the finishing touches \u2013 it is here that the original intention is often lost.<\/p>

This is precisely where I have focused my work.<\/p>

With a background in architecture, further studies including an MSc in Structural Engineering, and professional experience at an architectural practice in Germany, I later returned to the university to specialise specifically in fa\u00e7ade engineering within the German system.<\/p>

Today, I work as an independent consultant, helping to translate architectural intentions into precise, constructible fa\u00e7ade systems \u2013 and ensuring that the original concept is realised right through to its final physical implementation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a facade consultant and designer, I work in accordance with the guidelines of the German AHO specialist commission (AHO Booklet 28).<\/strong>This reference standard defines the scope of services for facade consultants and provides the foundation for a comprehensive, strategic, and technical approach to facade projects.<\/em><\/p>
